Our Story

The Perkins Funeral Home was established in 1910 by the Perkins Family. Initially, it operated out of their home and hardware business until 1930 when they built the current building. The family ran the business until the 1960s when Funeral Director Myron Wetzel and Mortician Kenneth Twitchell purchased it.

In the 1990s, Larry Scholz took over ownership of the funeral home and managed it until his passing. In December 2012, R. J. (Dick) Brown of Lewistown acquired the funeral home and operated it for the past 10 years. Now, the legacy of Perkins Funeral Home continues under the leadership of Dennis Newgard.

Perkins Funeral Home has been serving "Southcentral Montana since 1910" and remains dedicated to providing compassionate and respectful services to families in the area.

We are a full-service funeral home, offering traditional burial services, funerals with cremation, memorial services, and celebrations of life in our chapel, your church, or a location of your choice. Additionally, we provide monuments and keepsake jewelry.
