Gladys J. Norman

Gladys J. Norman, 80, of Harlowton passed away early Friday morning, December 11, 2020 at her home of end-stage renal failure surrounded by her family.  She was born September 22, 1940 in North Bend, NE, the daughter of Floyd and Naomi (Helm) Wigington.  She grew up the 5th child of 11 and received her schooling in Council Bluffs, IA.  She received training in Iowa and worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant (CNA) in Iowa until moving to Eureka, MT in 1977.  She continued as a CNA, moving to Spokane, WA in 1982 where she worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital.  She retired from the VA in 1999 and moved to Harlowton, MT.  She continued to make her home in Harlowton and worked a few summers at the Jawbone Creek Golf Course.

Gladys was an exceptional gardener and could grow most anything.  She enjoyed cooking, shopping, planning family gatherings and her coffee, but most of all she loved her children, her grandchildren and her two cats, Porsha and Beemer.

She is survived by her daughter Kristy (Joe) Brouillette of Harlowton, daughter Vicki (Ty) Paddock of Hamilton, MT, daughter Catherine Norman of Harlowton, son Robert Norman of Harlowton, and daughter Sandra Charbonneau (Jon) of Billings, MT.  She is also survived by her brothers Merlin Wigington of Council Bluffs, IA and Darryl Wiginton of Fullerton, CA and sister Lorraine Tally in Texas.  Lastly, Gladys is survived by 9 grandchildren; Frank, Bruce, Anne, Kristina, Sarah, Justin, Jacqueline, Aubree and Dayzee, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

Per her request, no funeral services will be held.  Cremation has taken place.  The Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
