Carol Jean Clark 83 of Harlowton passed away Saturday evening, March 23, 2019 in Wheatland Memorial Healthcare of natural causes with her daughter by her side. She was born December 19, 1935 in Wagner South Dakota the daughter of Clarence and Doris (Vezey) Morse the eldest of 4 children. The family moved several times finally finding “home” in Harlowton. While roller skating in Two Dot she met Arden Rae Clark and they were united in marriage on May 31, 1953 in Harlowton. She received her education in Harlowton graduating from High School in 1954. Their marriage lasted just short of 64 years when he passed away in May of 2017.

They had three children Raymond Keith (stillborn), Dennis Arden and Patricia Jean. Carol worked for Wheatland Memorial Hospital, Wades Drive-in and Painters Food Mart until 1974 when she ran for the Office of Clerk and Recorder and won. She held that office until her retirement.

Carol loved a clean house and a beautiful yard. She was a hard worker holding down a full-time job and helping Rae on the family ranch. Carol was a devoted wife taking care of Rae during several years of declining health. She was a loving generous mother and grandmother.

Carol and Rae enjoyed doing a little traveling, Sunday drives and going out to dinner and driving around town.

She is survived by her children Dennis (Nadine) of Stanfield, OR and Patty (Jim) O’Connor of Drummond, MT siblings Joe Morse of Two Dot, MT, Vonda Hammond of Cripple Creek, CO and Lenna (Joe) Wester of Willow Creek, MT; 5 granddaughters Hope, Tawnya, Alexis, Allison and Amanda, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and son Keith she was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Services for Carol J. Clark will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30th, 2019 in the Perkins Chapel in Harlowton with committal to follow in the Harlowton Cemetery.   The Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
