Michael G. Ewing, Sr. 73 of Harlowton died early Saturday morning, October 7th, 2016 in St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings of natural causes. He was born July 4, 1944 in Port Angeles, WA the son of George M. and Lois A. (Stewart) Ewing. He received his schooling in Port Angeles and then started working for the State of Washington Parks Department. He worked on ranches in the Port Angeles area and then as a longshoreman. He went to work for Rox Trucking and learned to be a truck driver, working for various trucking companies for several years. In 1964 he was united in marriage to Marjorie Smith in Port Angeles. In 1965 he started working for M & R Timber and learned to operate heavy equipment. He worked for various trucking companies until returning to M & R where he worked until he retired in 2000. Michael and his friend John (Mike) Chapman then started Acme Taxi in Port Angeles which they operated until 2005 when they moved to Harlowton, Montana. He worked for the City of Harlowton maintaining the Park until 2015 when he retired.

He enjoyed woodworking and made several rocking horses. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Michael is survived by his wife Marjorie of Harlowton; sons Mike (Jody) of Harlowton, Brett (Kathey) of Port Angeles, WA, Kasey (Mary) of Harlowton and Travis (Laurie) of Bremerton, WA; one sister Kathy Smith of Harlowton; seven grandchildren Dean, Dana, Lacey, Mary, Brittany, Hailey and Mason; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one grandson.

No Services will be held for Michael G. Ewing and cremation has taken place at his request. The Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
