Dorothy J. Gibson 94 of Harlowton died early Saturday morning, September 7th, in the Wheatland Memorial Nursing Home of natural causes. She was born March 21, 1919 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Ralph and Lucy (Morley) Bird. They moved to Montana and she received her schooling in Harlowton.

On November 4th, 1937 she was united in marriage to James A. Gibson. They lived in Harlowton, Washington, Hamilton later returning to Harlowton. She worked at the Wheatland Memorial Healthcare first in the laundry and then in the kitchen until her retirement. Her husband preceded her in death in 2009.

Dorothy loved to crochet and spend time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters Karlene O. Byers of Bozeman, MT and Dorothy J. Barlow of Port Angeles, WA; one sister Phyllis Kotan in Utah. 21 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two daughters Lorraine Gibson and Willie Swallow, one grandson, one brother, four sisters and her parents.

At her request cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Perkins Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
