Karen Rae Clarke 71 of Harlowton died early Friday morning in the Wheatland Memorial Healthcare of natural causes. She was born March 2, 1942 in Harlowton the daughter of Milo and Erma (Jellison) Mack, the first twins delivered in Harlowton by Dr. Johnson. They moved around as their father worked road construction.

They graduated high school in Great Falls in 1960. She then attended Business College in Seattle, WA. She worked in the Seattle area for a few years until returning to Montana. She worked in Helena Workman’s Compensation until the mid 1980’s when she retired for medical reasons. She continued to live in Helena until 1999 when she moved back to Harlowton.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Harlowton and the Harlowton Women’s Club.

She is survived by her twin sister Katharyn (David) Skaggs of Santa Maria, CA; 4 nieces, 3 nephews and several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral Services for Karen Rae Clarke will be Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Perkins Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Harlowton Cemetery. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
