Robert P. Best 53 of Harlowton died Wednesday, October 23, 2013 near Cartwright, North Dakota as a result of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. He was born January 22, 1960 in Glasgow, MT the son of Robert E. and
Florence (Waterman) Best. They moved around the state and he received his education in several places including Great Falls and finishing in Harlowton.
He was a hard worker and worked many different jobs in his life including a gold miner, feed mill worker, and his passion driving truck. The last three years working for Nelcon Construction in Cartwright, ND. On June 7, 1980 he was united in marriage to Janine Hill in Harlowton, MT.
Bob was a man that lived his life to the fullest, a hard worker being the first one on the job and staying until it was completed. He was a man that could walk into a room and make everyone laugh or put a smile on their face. He was always busy even on his days off, but he always had time for his family, enjoying his grandchildren every chance he could.
He is survived by his wife Janine, son Kacy and daughter Jeri Forrest all of Harlowton, son Chazz Nevin of Carson City, NV; his mother Florence Best in Louisiana; brothers Mike of Harlowton and Andy of San Antonio, TX; sisters Cindy Johnson in Louisiana and Sandy Best in Arizona; grandchildren Brandon, Jayden and Ryan Forrest, Kyler and Charles Best, Kristyn and Alex Nevin and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.
A Celebration of Life for Robert P. Best will Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Moose Lodge in Harlowton.
Cremation has taken place; the Perkins Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
